Firmly adhering to the goals and guidelines of the Doi Moi (Renewal) policy, the VFF has consistently accompanied the Party and state, contributing to strengthening the people’s trust and inspiring the aspiration for a strong, prosperous, and happy country in the new era.

The 2020-2025 period was full of challenges, as our country strived to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, while facing the negative impacts of natural disasters, climate change, and the complex developments of the international situation.

In the final year of the 13th Party Congress term, the entire Party decisively implemented an unprecedented organisational reform, achieving encouraging initial results.

Under the Party’s flexible, courageous, and sound leadership, the strength of national unity with the Fatherland Front at its centre shone brightly once again, leaving special marks.

The Politburo’s issuance of Decision No. 245-QD/TW on January 24, 2025, to establish the Party Committee of the VFF and Central Mass Organisations was a pivotal milestone, unifying leadership over the VFF and socio-political organisations entrusted by the Party and state, overcoming fragmentation and enhancing the effectiveness of overall leadership, guidance, and coordination.

In a short time, the Party Committee of the VFF and Central Mass Organisations established and consolidated leadership at 25 subordinate party organisations. As a result, Party building within the VFF and Central Mass Organisations has been implemented in a synchronous manner. Notably, the organisational streamlining achieved clear results, reducing 125 units (equivalent to 55.98%) and cutting 535 staff positions (19.67%), while improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.

The VFF and mass organisations have held numerous major movements that strongly permeated social life, such as the campaign “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilised cities.” To date, 78% of communes nationwide have met new rural standards.

Across the country, thousands of households have voluntarily donated land, contributed thousands of billions of VND, and millions of working days to build transport infrastructure, schools, cultural houses, welfare facilities, and to clean the environment, creating attractive rural and urban landscapes. These vivid figures and images demonstrate a spirit of self-discipline and consensus for the community.

Alongside, the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritise using Vietnamese goods” has been widely implemented, boosting domestic production. Over 12,000 One Commune, One Product (OCOP) products have been recognised, affirming the prestige and quality of Vietnamese goods and national pride.

The campaign “For the poor – Leaving no one behind” successfully mobilises thousands of billions of VND annually and has become an effective source in helping millions of poor households to stabilise their lives and sustainably escape poverty.

The “Creative Solidarity” movement has encouraged and inspired innovation and initiatives among the people.

Another highlight during the last term of the of the VFF and Central Mass Organisations was socio-welfare work. In just five years, the VFF system mobilised funding for the construction and repair of over 180,000 social houses, providing stable and secure homes for hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged families.

The construction and handover of more than 5,000 solid houses in Dien Bien province was hailed by the Politburo as a “bright spot,” strongly affirming the spirit of mutual support and deepening the noble humanitarian values in the new era.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the VFF played a central role in mobilising resources and social support. More than 23 trillion VND was contributed to the Vaccine Fund, medical equipment, and essential goods. Tens of millions of meals and gifts were promptly delivered to workers, poor households, and vulnerable people.

From “Community COVID Teams” to volunteer groups, religious compatriots, and artists — all united under the VFF’s common roof — forming a solid “people’s shield” against the pandemic.

In response to the severe consequences of typhoon No. 3 in 2024, more than 2,675 billion VND was mobilised and quickly allocated to 26 northern provinces and cities. This was also the first time the Central Relief Fund publicly disclosed the entire allocation of relief resources, clearly demonstrating transparency, responsibility, and consolidating people’s trust.

Recently, the VFF has mobilised over 400 billion VND to support the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Viet Nam-Cuba diplomatic relations, deepening the traditional, loyal, and affectionate ties between the two countries.

Monitoring and social criticism work in the VFF and Central Mass Organisations has been implemented in a more synchronous and substantive manner.

The entire VFF system conducted 231,000 monitoring activities, including 31 specialised central inspection delegations, who looked into issues of public concern such as land management and use, budget spending, leaders’ responsibilities, key projects, environmental protection, social welfare, and personnel work.

Social criticism achieved positive results with nearly 86,000 activities. Many practical public suggestions have been applied in improving policies and laws.

In the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils elections, the VFF’s role was clearly demonstrated. Over 103,000 consultation meetings were held, introducing 205 National Assembly candidates. More than 96,000 meetings for candidates to meet voters were organised, enabling candidates to exercise election campaigning rights. Voter turnout exceeded 99%, turning election day into a great national festival.

People-to-people diplomacy gained many notable achievements. Overseas Vietnamese affairs received increasing attention, clearly reflecting the expansion of the great national unity block beyond borders toward a global vision.

Regarding Party building, VFF’s Party Committees at all levels implemented synchronous measures, focussing on political education, ideology, ethics, study, dissemination, and implementation of Party Central Committee’s resolutions and conclusions. This has contributed to enhancing political bravery, self-cultivation, training, and ideological foundation among cadres and Party members.

The Party organisation system was consolidated and synchronised, clearly demonstrating its central political role in each agency and organisation, while overcoming fragmentation and overlap in leadership and direction. Leadership at all levels of the VFF have continued to innovate towards democracy, transparency, and effectiveness, while applying information technology in Party management and activities.

Leadership at all levels of the VFF have continued to innovate towards democracy, transparency, and effectiveness, while applying information technology in Party management and activities.

The above achievements result from the Party’s sound leadership, close state coordination, political system efforts, and especially the unanimous support and cooperation of the people. Thus, the central and core role of the VFF in the great national unity bloc is strongly affirmed. This foundation and resource will pave the way for a new development phase, awakening the aspiration for building a strong, prosperous, and happy country.

The 2025-2030 period poses heavy but glorious tasks for the VFF. With the spirit of “Unity - Democracy - Renewal - Creativity - Development,” the VFF needs to continue innovating its thinking and methods; strengthen mobilisation and promote the people’s strength; improve the quality of monitoring and social criticism; fully promote its role in the fight against corruption, wastefulness, and negativity prevention; accelerate people-to-people diplomacy, and build Viet Nam’s image as a peace-loving, responsible, and compassionate nation.

With the newly operating apparatus, especially implementing the two-tier local government model, the activities of the VFF at all levels, the Party Committee of the VFF, and Central Mass Organisations must continuously innovate, focusing strongly at the grassroots level, centring on the people, with Front cadres as bridges to contribute to the power of the Party’s will and the people’s hearts.

The 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the VFF and Central Mass Organisations, term 2025-2030, set the action goal of building a clean and strong Party Committee; radically renewing leadership thinking and methods; gathering and mobilising all classes to promote democracy and the great national unity strength; and uniting in shared efforts to enter a development era of a rich, prosperous, civilised, and happy country.

This highlights the role of the Party Committee of the VFF and Central Mass Organisations as a symbol of trust and a venue of the people’s affection, wisdom, and responsibility towards the Party, state, and regime.

The achievements of the VFF’s past term confirm the invincible strength of the great national unity bloc under the Party’s leadership.

Entering the new era with the spirit of “Unity - Democracy - Renewal - Creativity - Development,” the entire Party Committee of the VFF and Central Mass Organisations is determined to build a clean and strong apparatus; maximise the central role in uniting social consensus; spread positive values; inspire developmental aspirations; and mobilise all resources and unite in common effort to bring the country into an era of wealth, prosperity, civilisation, and happiness.
