Truong Sa 04 organised voting for officers and soldiers carrying out duties aboard vessels of Naval Flotillas 129 and 128.
Earlier, on the morning of February 26, the three ships of Truong Sa 04, Truong Sa 21, and KN 260 departed from a port in Phuoc Thang Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, on a mission to transport voter cards, ballot papers, ballot boxes, and related materials out to sea to conduct the election.
After just one day, Truong Sa 04 organised voting for voters performing duties offshore, enabling them to exercise their civic rights.
According to the plan, these vessels would conduct elections at sea for more than 600 voters, including naval personnel, coast guard officers, fisheries surveillance forces, standing militia on duty offshore, as well as fishermen engaged in fishing activities at sea.
To organise the election at sea, Truong Sa 04 deployed speedboats to approach other vessels, pick up voters, and bring them back on board. Truong Sa 04 was fully equipped with all necessary documents, paperwork, and a polling room.
Nguyen Thanh Trung, Captain of Truong Sa 04, said that calm seas and light winds ensured smooth transfers, alongside berthing and boarding operations. The election was conducted in absolute safety and solemnity, in full compliance with the law.
