Nen made the statement at a meeting of the municipal Party committee on October 8.

According to the city leader, Ho Chi Minh City will step up measures to mobilise resources for development, especially for important projects.

Since the start of the year, the city has focused on synchronously implementing central resolutions, guidelines and policies, as well as the city’s main tasks, achieving many encouraging results.

The city’s economy expanded by 7.33% in the third quarter and 6.85% in the first nine months of the year.

However, the city still lagged in some areas, such as public investment disbursement, with the progress of some critical infrastructure projects falling behind schedule.

The municipal Party leader stressed that the city needs to concentrate on accelerating public investment disbursement, regarding it as the top priority in the fourth quarter.
