The event was attended by Politburo members Luong Cuong, Standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat; Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; along with representatives and leaders of several departments, ministries, branches, central agencies, provincial and municipal Party Committees and more than 3,000 students of the advanced political theory class at the Academy.
Speaking at the ceremony, Standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Luong Cuong acknowledged and commended the results and achievements that the Academy has obtained over the past school year.
He said, in the face of increasingly high demands for training and fostering cadres, contributing to the continued comprehensive and synchronous promotion of the cause of renewal, building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation and the requirements for training and fostering to prepare personnel for Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics needs to focus on synchronously implementing all aspects of work following the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the resolutions of the 13th Central Committee.
The training, scientific research, policy consulting and cooperation activities of the Academy need to continue to fully promote the position, role and importance as the highest and most elite school of the Party, the Party official noted.
He also urged the Academy to continue to focus on building and innovating content and programs, improving the capacity and qualifications of the staff and lecturers. At the same time, increasing investment in facilities to organise and best serve the classes, especially the training classes, updating knowledge and skills for comrades planning to be members of the 14th Party Central Committee, leaders of ministries, departments, and branches at the central and local levels, as well as leaders of parties and international friendly countries.
