According to the Organizing Committee, the 50th anniversary of Phu Yen Liberation Day will be solemnly held at 8:00 p.m. on April 1, at April 1 Square, Tuy Hoa City (live broadcast on the Provincial Radio and Television Station and some local Radio and Television Stations, Zalo digital platform, Fanpage...) and a special art programme, fireworks display to celebrate.
After the ceremony, many activities will take place such as offering incense at the Provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery; an exhibition of Phu Yen's socio-economic achievements and introduction of typical products, cuisine, tourism of provinces and cities; announcement of the Prime Minister’s Decision to recognise the national treasure of Kala Nui Ba Ba; groundbreaking, inauguration, and installation of signs for a number of typical works and the Phu Yen Provincial Cross-Country Open Race in 2025, with the participation of more than 2,000 athletes from inside and outside the province competing in distances of 3km, 5km, 10km.
On this occasion, many units and localities in the province also enthusiastically organised other response activities such as medical examination, health care, medicine distribution, gift giving to policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services to the revolution, war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, resistance cadres through the periods; exhibition, display of paintings - photos - publications of many years; exhibitions introducing books, newspapers, pictures with about 1,000 documents including content about the land and people of Phu Yen; the history of Phu Yen province in the 1945-1975 period; documents about the Great Victory in Spring 1975.
In addition, the socio-economic achievements of Phu Yen province after 50 years of liberation (1975-2025) and 35 years of re-establishment of the province (July 1, 1989-July 1, 2025); exhibition of archival documents on history of formation and development of Phu Yen province through archival documents; an art programme with the theme: “Phu Yen youth follow tradition - aspiration to enter a new era” will also be organised.
