Hoa Binh asked to accelerate transport infrastructure projects

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has asked the northern province of Hoa Binh to speed up infrastructure projects, especially transport projects, to attract investors and visitors.

Quang made the statement during an event to announce Hoa Binh’s master plan for 2021-2030, with a vision for 2050.

The government leader noted that the province should tap into its potential and advantages to achieve development breakthroughs in the new period.

Hoa Binh borders the capital, Hanoi, to the east and is its gateway to the northwestern region.

Speaking at the event, Hoa Binh Chairman Bui Van Khanh pledged to take bolder actions, foster innovations and enhance public service delivery as measures to realise the plan.

For his part, Hoa Binh Party Secretary Nguyen Phi Long stated that the master plan will be an important foundation for Hoa Binh to achieve a moderate development level and high income in the northern midland and mountainous region.

On the occasion, Deputy PM Tran Luu Quang presented 1 billion VND (over 40,000 USD) to the provincial fund for the poor and 644 gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households and members of the ethnic minority groups in Hoa Binh.
