[In Photos] Glorious journey of Viet Nam People’s Army showcased at exhibition of 80-year national achievements
The exhibition of national achievements celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day themed “80-Year Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness,” officially opened at the Viet Nam Exposition Centre in Dong Anh commune of Ha Noi on August 28.
At the exhibition, the Ministry of National Defence’s display space drew strong attention with its large scale, including an indoor exhibition area themed “Shaping Development,” with a total area of 700m² designed like a historical museum. It vividly recreated milestone events from 80 years of building, fighting, and growing of the Viet Nam People’s Army.
Through images, artefacts, and historical documents combined with modern technologies such as holograms, mapping, AI, VR, and AR, this area offered visitors a direct and authentic perspective on the journey of defending the Fatherland, for independence, freedom, and happiness of the people.

The outdoor exhibition area of the Ministry of National Defence, under the theme “Sword and Shield,” covered 23,569m² and showcased 96 products across 61 types of equipment.
Scud-B missile system, with a maximum range of 300km, length of 11.25m, launch weight of about 4,500kg, and warhead of about 950kg. Various artillery and towed guns displayed at the exhibition. 5P73-VT launcher system integrated with four 5V27 missiles by Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group. Multi-purpose long-range unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufactured by Viettel Group.
Many modern devices and weapons exhibited. T-90S tank, one of the leading main battle tanks of the Russian Federation and worldwide, known for its powerful firepower, mobility, and multi-layered armour protection.
National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his spouse, together with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, departed the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur to return home on the morning of September 20, successfully concluding an official visit to Malaysia and participation in the 46th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-46).
