Naval forces prepare for grand military parade

On August 11, a working delegation from the Navy led by Major General Nguyen An Phong, Secretary of the Naval Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Navy, visited the naval forces who will join the grand military parade for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

During more than three months of training, the Navy forces have upheld a strong sense of responsibility and determination, fully aware of their honour and pride in participating in the parade.

As of now, the training and rehearsals are proceeding according to plan and achieving good quality.

In Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa Province, the naval parade units at sea are actively engaged in the second phase of training as scheduled.

Major General Nguyen An Phong applauded the responsibility and resolute determination of the units to overcome all difficulties and strive to complete their tasks successfully.

He emphasised that this parade is not only occasions to promote and educate about patriotism and revolutionary spirit but also profound expressions of gratitude to all previous generations of fallen soldiers who bravely laid down their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

This event is also an opportunity to showcase the nation’s defence strength and the remarkable development of the Viet Nam People’s Army in general and the Viet Nam People's Navy in particular over the past 80 years under the Party’s leadership.

On the occasion, Major General Nguyen An Phong presented gifts to naval officers and soldiers, expressing his belief that they will excellently fulfil their duties and worthily serve as the core force in safeguarding the nation’s maritime sovereignty.
