Speaking at the meeting, Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the province regards young people not only as a vanguard force in carrying out tasks, but also as an important force in shaping its development future. With revolutionary tradition as a foundation, the knowledge, science and technology, innovation, and aspiration for dedication of young people must become among the important drivers for Thai Nguyen’s rapid and sustainable development.
Trinh Xuan Truong expressed his hope that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee would continue to pay attention to and accompany Thai Nguyen, especially in building models suitable for young people in ethnic minority areas, young workers and rural youth, while creating conditions for young people to gain deeper access to science and technology, digital transformation, innovation, start-ups and career development.
According to documents presented at the meeting, in 2027, young people nationwide will focus on several key tasks, including the synchronous and effective implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 11th National Congress of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, the Resolution of the 13th National Youth Union Congress, as well as the Youth Union’s action programme to implement these resolutions.
With the theme “Improving the quality of grassroots Youth Union organisations”, Youth Union chapters at all levels nationwide will strongly renew their methods and contents of operation, improve the effectiveness of work to unite and gather young people, effectively implement the movement “Viet Nam’s youth pioneer in the new era” and the programme “Comprehensive development of Vietnamese youth” in association with the Viet Nam Youth Development Strategy for the 2021-2030 period.
To realise these targets, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union Central Committee set out several breakthrough tasks. Notable among them are arranging and stabilising the organisational apparatus of grassroots Youth Union organisations, especially in residential areas; widely implementing the 4.0 digital Youth Union branch model; promoting the digitisation and systematisation of regulations, procedures, documents and guidance materials for inspection work; and creating an environment for children and young people to conduct research, innovate and apply science and technology, especially in information technology, robotics and artificial intelligence.
Concluding the meeting, Bui Quang Huy, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee asked Youth Union chapters at all levels, in the final three months of the year, to review and make determined efforts to fulfil the 2026 targets, continue effectively implementing the Youth Union member management software, strengthen digital transformation across activities and work areas, and widely roll out the movements and programmes of the new tenure.
