[In Pictures] Discovering unique wedding customs of Mang ethnic group

Belonging to an ethnic group with a population of less than 10,000 people, living concentrated in Lai Chau province, the Mang ethnic group creates a unique cultural appearance for the land on the border of the Fatherland. Wedding customs with many unique rituals contribute to enriching the cultural heritage of the Vietnamese ethnic groups.

According to long-standing customs, the Mang people often hold wedding ceremonies when the crops have been harvested, from around the 10th lunar month of the previous year to the 3rd lunar month of the following year. This is a favourable period to carefully prepare for the wedding and organise community bonding activities.
