In Pictures: Outstanding projects in Hanoi after 15 years of administrative boundary expansion

Thang Long Boulevard, which is 29.26 km long, is the project to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi.

The intersection of Thang Long Boulevard - National Highway 21, the gateway for traffic between the centre of Hanoi and the western suburban districts.

The extended Nguyen Van Huyen Street runs through Nghia Do Ward (Cau Giay District), Xuan La Ward (Tay Ho District) and Xuan Dinh Ward (Bac Tu Liem District). The road is 627m long, with a cross-section of 50m and 8 lanes, and has contributed to reducing the load at the Hoang Quoc Viet - Buoi intersection, as well as stimulating demand for real estate in the western area of West Lake.

Nhat Tan Bridge is currently the largest cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam. It was built in 2009, with a total investment of more than 13.620 trillion VND. The bridge has five rhombus pylons and six cable-stayed spans, starting at Phu Thuong Ward, Tay Ho District to the endpoint intersecting with National Highway 5, Vinh Ngoc Commune, Dong Anh District.

It is expected that in the third quarter of 2023, the elevated section (from Nhon station to Cau Giay station) of the Nhon – Hanoi railway station metro line, will be put into operation.

The elevated section of Ring Road No.2 from Nga Tu So to Vinh Tuy Bridge has a total investment of more than 9.997 trillion VND, connecting three central districts including Dong Da, Thanh Xuan and Hai Ba Trung, to contribute to overcoming traffic congestion on the route.

The Vinh Tuy – Nga Tu So elevated section of Ring Road No.2 including the elevated road and the below-extended section, opened to traffic on January 11.

Many high-rise apartment buildings appear in Hoai Duc and Dan Phuong Districts and the highlight is the Splendora urban area in An Khanh Commune, Hoai Duc District.

Hoa Lac Urban Area in Thach That District was built towards developing to become the largest satellite town among the five planned urban centres of Hanoi capital.

The image of Phung Town in Dan Phuong's new-style rural district is seen from above, with a more spacious and clean new rural appearance and the synchronously developed traffic infrastructure.

Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park is located in two districts of Thach That and Quoc Oai (Hanoi), with a total planning area of nearly 1,600 hectares. Up to now, it has attracted 106 investment projects that have helped form the initial ecosystem for technology fields, initially creating a favourable environment for the innovation ecosystem, towards the goal of developing the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, to become a science and technology city.

Currently, the Ministry of Science and Technology is developing a project on the development of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park until 2030, with a vision to 2045, in line with the Strategy for Development of Science, Technology and Innovation, during the 2021-2030 period. This is a national high-tech park, which has completed the infrastructure, attracting many foreign technology investors.
