Politburo and Secretariat held a meeting in Ha Noi on August 18 with incumbent and former members of the Politburo and Secretariat, as well as members of the 13th Party Central Committee who were not re-elected to the 14th Party Central Committee. Orders and Party membership badges were also presented on the occasion. Party General Secretary and State President To Lam attended and delivered remarks at the meeting.

Also in attendance were former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former State President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Le Minh Hung; former Prime Ministers Nguyen Tan Dung and Pham Minh Chinh; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; former National Assembly chairpersons Nguyen Van An, Nguyen Sinh Hung and Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; and former Politburo members and former Permanent Members of the Secretariat Phan Dien, Le Hong Anh and Tran Quoc Vuong.

The meeting was also attended by members of the Politburo, Secretariat and Party Central Committee, along with leaders of the Party and State and leaders of Party agencies.
