Infographic: SJC gold prices surge by nearly 4 million VND per tael on August 20

The consumer price index (CPI) in August rose 0.47% from the previous month, mainly because domestic petrol and oil prices were revised upwards in line with global fuel prices, according to the Statistics Office under the Ministry of Finance. The index increased 3.57% compared with December 2025 and 4.89% year on year.
