Krong Pac District’s first bird’s nest batch exported to China under official quota

Krong Pac District’s People Committee in the Central Highland Province of Dak Lak held a ceremony in Phuoc An Town on January 20 to export the first bird’s nest batch, with an output of 400kg, to China under the official quota.

The exports of the first bird’s nest batch by Thanh Dung Bird's Nest Import-Export Joint Stock Company in Krong Pac District to China aimed to promote the potential and strengths of the locality, towards attracting investment sources and contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring security-defence.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van said that the official export of the first batch of bird's nest by Thanh Dung Bird's Nest Import-Export Joint Stock Company to China is an important event and a great opportunity for bird's nest businesses in Dak Lak Province, especially Krong Pac District, to access the most potential market in the world.

China's official permission to import bird's nest products from Vietnam has created many opportunities for the bird's nest farming industry and the production and processing of bird's nests in Vietnam.

China is currently the world's largest consumer market for bird's nest products, with a demand of more than 300 tonnes per year, accounting for about 80% of the global market share. Therefore, China has imported large quantities of bird's nests from other countries annually.

On November 9, 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and the General Administration of Customs of China signed a Protocol on quarantine, inspection and veterinary hygiene requirements for Vietnam’s bird's nest products exported to China.

The exports to the Chinese market under the official quota will help the bird's nest industry in Krong Pac District and Dak Lak Province develop strongly in the near future, bringing high economic value to bird's nest farmers and businesses.
