India is one of Viet Nam’s comprehensive strategic partners, and the two countries have achieved remarkable accomplishments across various fields, including culture and tourism.

Celebrating International Yoga Day (June 21) in many provinces and cities throughout Viet Nam has helped promote the positive and humanistic values shared between the two nations.

At the opening ceremony, delegates, residents, and visitors had the opportunity to witness the traditional Indian lamp-lighting ritual and enjoy an impressive cultural performance programme, highlighted by a large-scale synchronised yoga demonstration featuring over 300 participants.

On this occasion, the organising committee presented 28 awards to outstanding athletes in the “Shine with Yoga” competition—one of the festival’s key activities.

The International Yoga Day and Indian Cultural Exchange Festival in Lang Son is a meaningful cultural event and a valuable opportunity for the province to showcase its unique cultural and historical identity, as well as to promote the land and people of Lang Son to both domestic and international audiences.

The event also contributes to raising public awareness of the profound benefits of yoga for physical and mental well-being and overall quality of life, encouraging wider participation in yoga practice.
