At this meeting, many Party Secretaries of communes and wards shared their experiences adapting to the new working environment, personnel, facilities, and development direction of the locality; the difficulties and obstacles they are facing, and solutions to handle these issues.
NA Vice Chairman Le Minh Hoan emphasised that in the new conditions, with a new apparatus in place, there is a need to change thinking, leadership methods, and management style.
Officials must be closer to the people, and handle administrative procedures quickly; it is necessary to shift from administrative thinking to serving and managing society, he noted.
The Vice Chairman suggested that each locality needs to explore and be creative in the existing space, based on its own characteristics and strengths to orient development; to rethink the planning of communes and wards on the basis of promoting traditional cultural values, creating space for the development of the rural economy. In particular, localities must have officials who dare to think, dare to do, and dare to take responsibility.
Every citizen is part of the solution, no one is left behind, and only through cooperation between government and people can localities achieve sustainable development, he added.
