Meeting observes Vietnam Law Day

The Ministry of Public Security held a meeting in Hanoi on November 9 to celebrate Vietnam Law Day.

Speaking at the event, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security General To Lam spoke highly of the efforts and achievements of police forces and localities nationwide in observing Vietnam Law Day, thus contributing to raising the public’s sense of respecting and abiding by the law.

He asked police forces and localities to enhance the application of information technology in the dissemination of law for all citizens.

He called for greater efforts in building and enforcing laws, ordinances and legal documents, particularly those on security and social order.

He also requested stronger administrative reform in the public security sector towards creating the most favourable conditions to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of organisations and individuals.

Also on the occasion of Vietnam Law Day, the Vietnam Law Newspaper under the Ministry of Justice held a ceremony on November 8 to honour 50 outstanding individuals for their contributions to the building and enforcing of the law.
