Michelin Guide announces Viet Nam’s top restaurants in 2025

Michelin Guide Viet Nam hosted an awards ceremony at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort on June 5 to honour and present the 2025 Michelin recognitions to dining establishments from Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.

This year, the Michelin Guide announced 181 award-winning dining establishments, including 9 restaurants awarded one Michelin Star (featuring one new entry and one promoted restaurant), 63 Bib Gourmand winners (including 9 new entries), and 109 Michelin Selected venues (with 14 new additions).

Among 181 award-winning dining establishments announced by the Michelin Guide Viet Nam, Da Nang City boasts 20 Bib Gourmand restaurants and 22 Michelin Selected venues, with La Maison 1888 (InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort) maintaining its prestigious one Michelin Star.

Among the newly added venues in the Michelin Guide list are 10 establishments from Ha Noi (5 Bib Gourmand, 5 Michelin Selected, and 1 Michelin Green Star), 7 from Ho Chi Minh City (including 1 newly starred restaurant and 6 Michelin Selected), and 7 from Da Nang (4 Bib Gourmand, 3 Michelin Selected).

Additionally, one restaurant in Ha Noi was honoured with the newly introduced Michelin Green Star, recognising notable efforts toward sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

In Da Nang, La Maison 1888 (InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort) has retained its one Michelin Star, while Nén Restaurant continues to hold its Michelin Green Star. In addition to 16 Bib Gourmand listings from 2024, four new venues earned the Bib Gourmand designation this year: Banh Xeo 76, Bun Bo Hue Ba Thuong, Que Xua, and Shamballa. Three new restaurants joined the Michelin Selected list, bringing the city’s total to 22, including Moc, Bep Cuon, and Bun Rieu Cua 39.

Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guides, expressed pride in the growing number of Michelin Starred restaurants in Viet Nam, attributing it to a new generation of talented young chefs.

Poullennec added that the journey to discover new dining gems in Viet Nam remains as exciting and inspiring as ever and they are deeply moved by the dedication, creativity, and relentless pursuit of excellence demonstrated by chefs across the country.

The Young Chef Award was presented to chef Le Viet Hong from CieL, the newest Michelin Starred restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Sommelier Award went to Paul Vo from Nephele, a restaurant making its debut in the Michelin Selected list this year in Ho Chi Minh City. The Service Award was given to Nha Huynh from Man Moi (Thu Duc City), a Bib Gourmand-winning restaurant also based in Ho Chi Minh City.
