Entitled “Walking Through A Songline”, it officially opened in Ho Chi Minh City on March 21, as part of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Australia-Vietnam diplomatic ties.

The unique exhibition takes visitors into the space of fascinating light shows, following the footsteps of the 7 sisters across the Australian continent.

The First Peoples of Australia refers to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people whose lands every Australian calls home.

Songlines are the Aboriginal walking routes that were the centre of the First Peoples of Australia.

Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Sarah Hooper said the exhibition is an opportunity for Vietnamese people to learn about the cultures of the First Peoples of Australia.

The exhibition will last until April 16 in Ho Chi Minh City and will then be organised at the Vietnam Women’s Museum in Hanoi from April 28 to May 21.
