Hue said that during the session, which will conclude on March 20, the NA Standing Committee will prepare important contents for the legislature’s 5th plenary session.
Specifically, the NA Standing Committee will give opinions on the draft Price Law (amended), the draft Law on Bidding (amended), and the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Public Security, the draft Law on Water Resources (revised), the draft Law on the Management and Protection of Defencee Works and Military Zones, and the Law on Housing (revised); and comments on the explanation, acquisition and amendment of the draft revised Cooperative Law.
Full-time lawmakers will comment on a proposal to include the draft Law on Citizenship Identity (amended) and the draft revised Law on Credit Institutions in the 2023 Law and Ordinance Building Programme.
Regarding socio-economic issues, the NA Standing Committee will discuss the adjustment of investment in Ka Pet reservoir project in Ham Thuan Nam district in the south central province of Binh Thuan.
It will consider the legislature's report on the people's aspiration work in March, and consider and approve the appointment of ambassadors of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad.
A question and answer session will be held on March 20 and broadcast live on TV and radio channels. The Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy will take the floor to answer questions, while the Minister of Public Security, and the Minister of Justice, and the Government Inspector General will give explanations on related issues.
After the opening session, under the chair of NA Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai, the NA Standing Committee discussed a number of major issues with different opinions of the draft revised Law on Price.
