NA Vice Chairwoman visits disadvantaged children in Quang Nam

On June 2, Politburo member and National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong visited and presented gifts to 10 disadvantaged children living in Hoa Binh (Peace) Village in Quang Nam province.

The NA Vice Chairwoman encouraged the children to overcome difficulties to study well at school, stressing that all available resources have been mobilised for the care and protection of children.

She asked leaders of Quang Nam province to focus their operations towards realising the guidelines on child protection, considering it as one of major tasks for 2019.

On the same day, the NA Vice Chairwoman joined a working delegation to offered flowers and incense at the monument dedicated to Vietnamese heroic mothers and the Quang Nam provincial war martyrs’ cemetery in Tam Phu commune, Tam Ky district.

She also paid tribute to hero-martyr Nguyen Van Troi at his commemorative house in Dien Ban town.
