At the event, delegates deliberated on draft resolutions on the subcommittee's working regulations and member assignments, and a draft report to be submitted to the NEC. The subcommittee also conducted a comprehensive review of activities since its establishment, including monitoring the issuance of legal documents and coordinating with the NEC’s office and relevant agencies to expedite implementation processes.

National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh, who is also head of the subcommittee, stated that the subcommittee’s role is to advise the NEC and local authorities to issue legal documents, oversee the promulgation of documents by designated agencies, handle complaints and denunciations related to the elections, and provide advisory support for the NEC for official responses.

He noted that the election will take place amidst the ongoing restructuring of the political apparatus, requiring a shorter preparation timeline and more detailed coordination and guidance.

The governmental restructuring has resulted in functional and operational changes across the political system, he stated, urging the subcommittee to build upon the documents from the previous term while adapting them to meet the requirements in the next context.

He ordered the supporting team to incorporate member opinions and finalise the draft resolutions and reports, and emphasised the need for closer coordination and mutual support to ensure the highest quality of work.

Touching on work regulations, he proposed dividing the subcommittee into specialised groups under the direct guidance of the head or deputy heads, focusing on legal documents and the resolution of complaints, denunciations and related issues. The move would allow timely settlement of both regular and unexpected matters. Dinh also underscored the importance of a well-balanced distribution of tasks among the subcommittee members to ensure swift responses to emerging issues.
