The event is hosted by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with relevant agencies, associations and trade departments across the country.
Speaking at a press conference held in Hanoi on November 11, Deputy Director of Vietrade Le Hoang Tai said that the event aims to create a time period at the end of the year for enterprises to implement promotional programmes on their products and services while providing consumers with opportunities to access high quality goods and services at reasonable prices.
Promotion activities during the month will be held in both e-commerce platforms and through trade fairs and exhibition in localities in order to boost domestic consumption and attract more visitors to Vietnam.
The Vietnam Grand Sale received encouraging results in its previous two editions and has attracted enthusiastic response from the business community and consumers across the country.
Last year’s event was held from July 1 to 31 and featured over 56,410 promotional programmes, contributing to bringing the total retail sales of goods and services of the month to around 458.5 trillion VND, up 1.1% against the same period of 2020.
