The ceremony was attended by Politburo member and Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC), and Head of the CPVCC Commission for Communication and Education, Dinh The Huynh.
In his opening speech, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Thanh reviewed the history of the armed forces and people of Ninh Thuan province and the Uprising in 1975 to liberate the South and reunify the nation.
Ninh Thuan has recently received the Independence Order, Third Class, and Phan Rang-Thap Cham city has been recognised as a type II city under the province.
In his speech, Politburo member Dinh The Huynh praised Ninh Thuan’s significant accomplishments, while asking the province to make further efforts to fully utilise its strengths to successfully accomplish its socio-economic development targets.
He also urged the province to improve the quality of education and training, healthcare, poverty reduction, and care to families under preferential policy treatment and national contributors.
More attention should be paid to effectively implement the Resolution of the CPVCC’s fourth session on urgent issues and the Politburo’s Directive No.3 on promoting ‘Studying and Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Example’, he noted.
