Ninh Thuan welcomes nearly 2 million visitors in first half of 2024

The south-central coastal province of Ninh Thuan welcomed 1.97 million visitors in the first half of 2024, up 15.2% over the same period last year.

The province’s tourism revenue soared by 64.9% to 2.242 trillion VND (88.2 million USD).

Since the start of the year, the province has been busy with a wide range of tourism activities, especially during the holidays and weekends, when the number of tourists surged compared to previous years.

The opening of the Cam Lam-Vinh Hao Expressway and many tour packages on offer have helped attract more visitors to Ninh Thuan.

The province has developed a wide range of products to boost tourism by combining community with agriculture-based tourism and tapping into cultural heritage values.

Ninh Thuan also stepped up tourism promotion through information technology and increased cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and other provinces throughout the country.

The province aims to welcome 3.2 million visitors in 2024, including 100,000 foreign visitors, with tourism revenue at 2.5 trillion VND.
