Ha Noi welcomes over 875,000 visitors during April 30 – May 1 holiday

According to the Ha Noi Department of Tourism, during the five-day holiday to mark the liberation of the South and national reunification, and International Labour Day (from April 30 to May 4), the capital city welcomed nearly 875,200 visitors, an increase of 18.64% compared to the same period in 2024.

Among them were 136,190 international tourists, up 55.35% year-on-year, and 739,000 domestic tourists, up 13.69% over the same period in 2024. Total tourism revenue was estimated at 3.15 trillion VND, an increase of 25.21% compared to the same period in 2024.

Several key tourist attractions across the city recorded large visitor numbers, including Hong Van Tourist Area (nearly 100,000 visitors), Ha Noi Zoo (88,430 visitors), the Temple of Literature (nearly 27,800 visitors), Hoa Lo Prison Relic Site (35,000 visitors), Thang Long Imperial Citadel (over 30,000 visitors), Thien Duong Bao Son Tourism Complex (27,100 visitors), Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (approximately 22,000 visitors), Phu Dong Tourist Site (over 20,000 visitors), Bat Trang Tourist Site (10,000 visitors), Ao Vua Tourist Area (10,129 visitors), Ba Vi National Park (nearly 13,800 visitors), Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (nearly 8,300 visitors), Duong Xa Tourist Site (6,200 visitors), destinations in Chuong My District (17,300 visitors), and Duong Lam Ancient Village (around 4,500 visitors).

According to the Ha Noi Department of Tourism, occupancy rates at high-end serviced apartments and 4–5 star hotels were quite high, such as Somerset Grand Ha Noi (99%), Sofitel Legend Metropole (88.3%), Fraser Suites (88%), and Apricot Hotel (84%), among others.

It was estimated that during the April 30 – May 1 holiday, the average occupancy rate for hotels and tourist apartments reached about 69.67%, up 9.27% compared to the same period in 2024.

Shopping centres, entertainment venues, dining establishments, and other tourism-related service providers also recorded significant increases in customer volume and revenue over the five-day holiday.

According to the Ha Noi Department of Tourism, accommodation and tourism service providers in the city strictly complied with regulations on security, safety, fire prevention, food hygiene and safety, environmental sanitation, and the required reporting and temporary residence registration procedures.
