To mark the 50th anniversary of the liberation of South and national reunification (April 30, 1975–2025), Da Nang hosted more than 30 cultural, artistic, and sporting events. Highlights included free admission to the Da Nang Museum and an art exhibition titled “Da Nang Gam Hoa” at the Fine Arts Museum.
Sun World Ba Na Hills introduced a new cable car route and hosted events such as the Sunflower Festival, Ba Na by Night buffet shows, and souvenir giveaways for guests wearing the national flag shirt. Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park held a procession celebrating the God of Wealth.
Entertainment venues like Mikazuki Water Park featured fire-dancing Ninja shows, fireworks, and water music, while acoustic music nights and traditional performances such as the Ao Dai Show and Charming Show also attracted large audiences.
Hotel occupancy averaged 85%, peaking at 100% from April 30 to May 2 across both central and suburban areas. Da Nang International Airport handled 654 flights during the holiday, including 261 international and 393 domestic flights—an increase of about 12% compared to regular days.
The cruise ship Aidastella docked at Tien Sa Port on April 30, bringing over 2,000 international passengers from countries such as the US, UK, Germany, and Canada. Popular destinations included Ngu Hanh Son, Linh Ung Pagoda, and the Cham Sculpture Museum.
River tours on the Han River drew over 18,100 participants, and more than 13,600 visitors arrived by train.
