The event was organised by the Ninh Binh Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with the Ninh Binh Association of Young Entrepreneurs.
Le Minh Tho, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Association of Young Entrepreneurs, said the event was intended to encourage people to do exercise and enhance public health, as well as to promote and protect the heritage values of Ninh Binh.
The marathon’s running course travelled along the province’s famous attractions, including the ancient capital of Hoa Lu and the Trang An scenic complex, offering runners an opportunity to explore unique natural heritages.
In addition to the winners in each category, the organisers awarded inspirational prizes to the youngest and oldest runners as well as other impressive and creative prizes to the participants.
On the occasion, the organisers presented 21 scholarships to disadvantaged students in the province and 300 gifts to families of revolutionary contributors and poor families in Hoa Lu District.
