In a respectful atmosphere, overseas Vietnamese in Thailand offered incense to pay tribute to the Hung Kings and the ancestors.

Addressing the ceremony, Chu Duc Dung, Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen, emphasised that the worshiping of the Hung Kings is part of the cultural identity and traditional morality of the Vietnamese people, aiming to express gratitude to the ancestors' merits in the cause of national construction and defence.

On the occasion, Consul General Chu Duc Dung also called on the overseas Vietnamese community to continue following Uncle Ho's teachings on building and defending an everlasting country of Vietnam.

On the same day, Consul General Dung arrived in Nakhon Phanom Province to attend the topping-out ceremony for a Vietnam Welcome Gate. Construction of the gate was completed in late 2023, and it is expected to be inaugurated on the occasion of the 134th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh in May.

This marks the third Vietnam Welcome Gate in Thailand, following other gates in the provinces of Udon Thani and Nong Khai.
