Nguyen Trung Kien, SCOV Chairman, led the delegation.

At the Hung Kings' Temple Historical Site, the delegation offered incense at the Temple of National Father Lac Long Quan, offered incense in memory of Hung Kings at the Lower Temple and the Middle Temple, and the Upper Temple to report their achievements and pay tribute to the ancestors' merits.

This activity helps us feel a deep connection with our homeland and Fatherland. We express our gratitude and pride in the heroic history of our forefathers, especially Hung Kings’ merits in building and defending the nation, as well as the sacrifices of previous generations, Tran Quang Hien, an overseas Vietnamese from Thailand, shared his emotion on offering incense for the first time at Hung Kings' Temple, a sacred place linked to the nation's roots.

Vu Thi Huyen, an overseas Vietnamese from the Republic of Korea, who has lived away from the homeland for over 20 years, said that she will educate her children and grandchildren, share with the younger generations of overseas Vietnamese that, wherever they may be, they should always remember their roots, their ancestors, and the fine culture of our nation.

The Hung Kings' Death Anniversary (10th day of the 3rd lunar month) always receives great attention from the overseas Vietnamese community. Every year, Vietnamese representative agencies and associations worldwide organise activities to commemorate this major national festival.

Organising overseas Vietnamese delegations to attend the Hung Kings' Death Anniversary 2025 shows the principle of "when drinking water, remember the source" and contributes to implementing the guidelines and policies set forth by the Party and state for the overseas Vietnamese community. This is also an annual activity organised by SCOV.

The activity aims to strengthen the bond between overseas Vietnamese and their homeland, thereby contributing to preserving and promoting fine cultural values of the Vietnamese community worldwide, and enhancing and consolidating the great national unity bloc.

On the same day, the overseas Vietnamese delegation had working sessions with leaders of Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang Provinces.

On this occasion, the overseas Vietnamese delegation presented charitable donations, contributing to Tuyen Quang Province's temporary and dilapidated housing elimination programme.
