The two-day event was jointly organised by the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Khon Kaen and the Thai–Vietnamese Business Association (TVBA).

It attracted approximately 70 Vietnamese nationals residing in the locality, along with Thai participants who share an appreciation for Vietnamese culture.

Contestants delivered performances that highlighted their vocal talents while conveying steadfast devotion to the homeland and paying tribute to President Ho Chi Minh.

In his opening speech, Ho Van Lam, TVBA Chairman, Vice President of the Association of Vietnamese People in Thailand, and head of the event’s organising committee, stated that music serves not only as the voice of the soul but also as a bridge connecting the community, embodying love for the homeland and national pride.
He said the competition aims to provide a cultural and artistic platform for overseas Vietnamese in Thailand, helping preserve the Vietnamese language, promote cultural identity abroad, strengthen community bonds, and awaken a sense of unity among overseas Vietnamese in Thailand.

For his part, Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh expressed confidence that the event would foster national pride, heighten responsibility for preserving and promoting the Vietnamese language and cultural identity, and enrich Thailand's cultural life with greater vibrancy, appeal, humanity, and civility.

Meanwhile, Udon Thani Governor Rachan Sunhua highlighted the competition's significance as an activity commemorating the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam's National Day and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, the great leader of the Vietnamese people.

He hoped the songs about Viet Nam's land, people, and President Ho Chi Minh would perpetuate Viet Nam's folk cultural beauties, ignite patriotism, pride, and solidarity among the Vietnamese community in Thailand.
