According to Tran Thi Thanh Nghiep, overseas Vietnamese students in Cambodia have always strictly obeyed the host country’s laws, as well as the regulations of their universities and student dormitories, maintaining the image of disciplined, responsible, and friendly Vietnamese students in the eyes of international friends.

Vietnamese and Khmer language classes for overseas Vietnamese students have been effectively implemented, contributing to improving their study, research, and integration capacity. In addition, overseas Vietnamese students actively participated in movements and social activities, helping to strengthen solidarity among students in the university and with society at large.

“The establishment of the Khmer Academic Club has become a bright spot, providing effective support for newly enrolled students, helping improve communication skills, understanding of local culture, and promoting integration into the academic environment,” Tran Thi Thanh Nghiep shared.

Speaking at the programme, Nguyen Huu Phu, Minister Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia, recalled the fine traditional friendship between the two countries, stressing that this is an invaluable asset that both nations must jointly preserve and nurture.
