She noted with pleasure that a wide range of movements on paying gratitude to national contributors has been implemented across the country, contributing to improving the livelihoods of people with meritorious service.
She hailed the socio-economic achievements gained by An Giang Province over the past years and applauded the enthusiastic participation of the revolutionary contributors to the overall development of the locality.
She asked An Giang Provincial authorities to increase the quality of programmes on paying gratitude to national contributors and mobilise more social resources to care for this group of people.
She expressed her hope that the national contributors will continue serving as shining examples for younger generations to follow.
While conveying her thanks to Vice President Xuan for the warm welcome, Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy emphasised, that the local authorities always paid great attention to caring for national contributors and their families.
She reported that An Giang is now home to 760 heroic Vietnamese mothers, around 6,000 national contributors, and 87 families, which have been awarded the Independence Order.
