Party committees, authorities and socio-political organisations are intensifying communication and mobilisation so that each voter fully understands the significance and importance of this major political event, thereby actively participating in voting and fulfilling their sacred rights and obligations.

Along the roads leading to villages and hamlets, from commune centres to residential areas, national flags, banners, and slogans about election communication are prominently displayed against the backdrop of rocky mountains and the traditional earthen houses of the ethnic minority communities in the highland region. At village cultural houses, community meeting points and village gatherings, commune and village officials actively explain the rights and responsibilities of citizens in participating in the election.

The atmosphere of preparation for the election day is also spreading to every household and village. After working hours in the fields, villagers gather to talk about the upcoming national event. Elderly people recall previous elections, while young people eagerly look forward to casting their ballots for the first time. Everyone is excited and looks forward to the day when they can directly choose outstanding representatives who will voice the aspirations and interests of the people.

“People in the village are very excited as the election day approaches. We hope to choose representatives who are truly dedicated and responsible so they can contribute to the development of the country and the locality,” shared Giang Mi Po from Xeo Lung Hamlet, Lung Cu Commune.

In Lung Cu Commune — the northernmost point of the country — preparations for the election are being carried out in a serious manner in accordance with regulations. Local authorities have proactively reviewed voter lists and prepared facilities at polling stations, while also strengthening communication so that residents clearly understand the time, location and process for voting.

Duong Ngoc Duc, Secretary of the Lung Cu Commune Party Committee, said the commune considers the election an important political task and has therefore implemented many coordinated measures. Communication activities are being conducted through various forms so that ethnic minority communities clearly understand the significance of the election and actively participate.

The border commune of Lao Chai is also actively preparing for the election day. With the characteristics of a mountainous area where many hamlets and villages are located far from the centre, the locality places special emphasis on direct communication to each household while integrating election information into hamlet meetings and community activities to ensure that residents can easily access the information.

Tran Van Tang, a resident of Lao Chai Commune, said that commune and hamlet officials regularly visit households to explain the significance of the election. Everyone understands the importance of this national event and is looking forward to the day they can cast their ballots.

According to the leaders of Lao Chai Commune, the locality has basically completed the review of voter lists and the preparation of polling stations to ensure convenience for residents, especially in hamlets located far from the centre. Relevant forces have also built plans to ensure security and order so that the election can take place safely and in accordance with regulations.

Nong Khanh Toan, Chairman of the Lao Chai Commune People’s Committee, said the locality has proactively developed plans and assigned specific tasks to each department involved in election work. At the same time, the commune has intensified communication so that residents clearly understand their rights and obligations and participate fully and lawfully in the election.

In Dong Van Commune, where more than 80% of the population are H’Mong ethnic people, local authorities have identified communication in ethnic languages as a key solution to help residents better understand the election. Sung Thi Say, Director of the Public Service Centre of Dong Van Commune, said that communication activities in villages are conducted in both the H’Mong language and Vietnamese. Therefore, communicators must be fluent in the ethnic language and knowledgeable about the local customs so that they can clearly and thoroughly explain each content of the election.

Communication sessions are also combined with cultural performances to create a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere. The goal is for every voter, after receiving the information, to clearly understand, trust, and voluntarily participate in the election.

In addition to communication efforts, highland localities are also focused on preparing adequate facilities at polling stations as well as reviewing and compiling complete and accurate voter lists. Measures to ensure security, order, and traffic safety are also being closely coordinated by relevant forces.

From hamlets perched on rocky mountain slopes to villages along the border, people in the highland and border areas of Tuyen Quang Province are looking toward the country’s major event with confidence and expectation. Thorough preparations by Party committees and authorities, together with the sense of responsibility of each voter, will contribute to ensuring that the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term are conducted democratically, safely, and successfully, truly becoming a celebration of the entire people.
