The event coincides with the visit of a delegation from the Minsk city organisation of the Belarusian Union of Women to Ho Chi Minh City, and also marks the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).
The exhibition aims to widely promote the culture, land, and people of both Vietnam and Belarus, while fostering comprehensive and sustainable cooperation between the two nations.

Specifically, the exhibition showcases 20 photos of Belarusian women, 23 photos of Vietnamese women, and 38 photos of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union Pham Thi Thanh Hien emphasised that the event offers a special opportunity to honour and appreciate the extraordinary beauty of women from both Vietnam and Belarus.
The exhibition introduces images representing silent mothers who bid farewell to their husbands and sons as they left for the battlefield; women whose gentle beauty belied immense resilience during wartime; and dynamic and creative women who, in the era of renewal, have made significant contributions across various fields to the development of the nation.
