The event was jointly organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran, the Asian Mayors Forum, the Tehran city government, and the Tehran Urban Railway Company. It was held at Tajrish Metro Station – one of Tehran’s largest transport hubs.

The exhibition presents over 20 photographs capturing the landscapes, people, and cultural richness of Viet Nam. Highlights include iconic destinations such as Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Ha Noi, and Ho Chi Minh City, alongside scenes of daily life, traditional festivals, and the vibrancy of modern urban areas.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran, Nguyen Luong Ngoc, emphasised that the exhibition reflects a Viet Nam where tradition and modernity coexist harmoniously. He noted that the country’s beauty lies not only in its natural scenery but also in the dynamism and spirited vitality of its people.

“This is more than a cultural event,” the Ambassador remarked. “It serves as a bridge of friendship between the peoples of Viet Nam and Iran – two nations with ancient civilisations, a shared commitment to peace, and a desire for cooperation and mutual understanding.”

Hamidreza Gholamzadeh, Deputy for International Affairs at Tehran Municipality, expressed hope that the exhibition would offer Iranian visitors a deeper appreciation of Viet Nam’s culture, landscapes, and rapidly developing cities. He voiced confidence that future cultural exchanges would further strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
