The contest is organised by the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It aims to record and spread memorable images of Tet (Lunar New Year), reflecting the cultural and spiritual life of Vietnamese people at home and abroad, as well as foreigners living and working in Viet Nam.

Through photos and videos, the contest seeks to honour the traditional values of Viet Nam’s biggest and most important festival.

Entries are expected to capture the vibrant atmosphere of welcoming spring, traditional customs, daily life, and touching moments of family and community reunion at the start of the new year. Organisers hope the works will help promote the image of a tranquil and heartwarming Viet Nam, where cultural traditions and happiness are cherished and shared.

The contest is held online via the digital platform happy.Viet Nam.vn and features two categories: Photo and Video. It is open to Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and above, regardless of gender or profession, who are living either in Viet Nam or overseas. Submitted works will be uploaded and publicly voted on through the platform in accordance with the competition rules.

Results will be determined based on the outreach and engagement of each entry, measured through interactions such as “likes” and “shares,” ensuring transparency and fairness under the published regulations. Outstanding works will be awarded, honoured and featured in communication activities promoting Viet Nam’s cultural values, people and national image within the framework of the “Happy Viet Nam” programme.

The submission period runs from February 10 to March 10. Winners will be announced and prizes presented in the second quarter of 2026.

The contest offers one first prize, including a Terra football, an official player-version jersey of the Viet Nam national football team, and a football signed by head coach Kim Sang-sik and national team players. Additional prizes include signed footballs, team sportswear, backpacks and polo shirts. Award-winning entries will receive certificates and be widely promoted as part of the programme.

Detailed information on rules, categories, submission guidelines and prize structure is available at the official website happy.Viet Nam.vn
