PM visits officers and soldiers on founding anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh paid a visit to officers and soldiers of Military Region 4 and the Quang Binh Military High Command on December 22, on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22) as well as 32 years of the All-People Defence Festival.

The Prime Minister acknowledged and praised the efforts made by officers and soldiers of Military Region 4 and the Quang Binh Military High Command, in performing assigned tasks in all aspects; maintaining security and social order in the province; strengthening national defence based on people; and protecting a peaceful life for local residents, while contributing to the country’s accomplishments.

He also urged the two military units to raise their leading capacity and combat strength, while cooperating with local authorities and other armed units, to build defensive areas and draft plans to address complicated events, to ensure the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

The Government leader expressed his belief that officers and soldiers of Military Region 4 and the Quang Binh Military High Command will continue to promote their glorious traditions, exert more efforts to realise resolutions of the Party, the National Assembly, the Government, the Ministry of National Defence and Quang Binh province.

On this occasion, PM Pham Minh Chinh also visited and presented gifts to a number of families of revolution contributors within the province - the hometown of legendary General Vo Nguyen Giap.
