Politics academy seeks stronger cooperation with French partners

The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) wants to foster stronger cooperation in personnel training and knowledge sharing with French partners, HCMA President Nguyen Xuan Thang has said.

Thang, Politburo member and Chairman of the Central Theory Council made the statement at a meeting in Hanoi on September 25 with French Ambassador Olivier Brochet.

At the meeting, Thang briefed the French guest on the academy’s role, operation and tasks.

He stressed that French agencies are important partners for the academy in strengthening cooperative relations and sharing knowledge on development governance, building an excellent public administration, and effectively managing the relationship between the Government and localities.

He expressed his belief that the meeting outcomes will promote the cooperation between the Academy and French partners and boost the Vietnam-France strategic partnership.

For his part, Ambassador Brochet hailed Vietnam’s active role in the International Organisation of La Francophonie and noted his hope that the two sides will work on French language training programmes for Vietnamese cadres at the upcoming Francophonie Summit.

He also pledged to make every effort to develop the Vietnam-France strategic partnership in a deeper, more substantive, and effective manner.
