The government leader made the statement while attending the National Startup Day for Students held on March 26 in the northern province of Vinh Phuc.

PM Chinh stated that the Party and State always pay attention to the innovation and startup movement and have introduced various policies and mechanisms to support startups.

He emphasised the necessity to promote communication on innovation, encourage creative thinking to break down the old mindset, and promote the startup ecosystem in the education sector.

The PM noted that teachers must be the source of inspiration for their students and motivate students to come up with innovative ideas and create value for the community.

He also called for measures to establish a favourable environment in which to attract resources for startup and innovation.

The highlight of this year’s National Startup Day for Students was a startup idea contest for students with the participation of 400 universities, colleges, high schools and secondary schools nationwide.

The organisers received a total of nearly 400 projects, of which 70 were selected for the final round.
