Speaking at the workshop, Vu Quyet Tien, Secretary of the Ha Long Municipal Party Committee, affirmed that Ha Long City is the political, economic, cultural and social centre of Quang Ninh Province, as such the city has always determined that developing education and training contributes to upgrading the quality of human resources, creating a foundation for high-quality human resources with intelligence, civilisation, culture, morality and talent for the city, the province, and the country.
The scientific workshop is a very important activity towards thoroughly grasping and concretising the Party's policies in the field of education and training, which is an important factor for the city and the whole country in entering a new era of rising.

Speaking at the workshop, Professor, Doctor and Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Quy Thanh, Principal of the University of Education, Vietnam National University – Hanoi, emphasised that Ha Long's education sector needs to continue promoting comprehensive solutions to meet the development requirements of modern education and become a bright spot in education in the new era.
In addition, Ha Long needs to build a system to discover, nurture and promote talents, and at the same time implement policies to exempt and reduce tuition fees for policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged people, thus creating fair learning opportunities for everyone.
In order to open up Ha Long's education to approach green innovation, Professor, Doctor and People's Teacher Nguyen Huu Duc affirmed that green education, or education for sustainable development, is increasingly receiving attention around the world. It is a breakthrough in the education system, not only providing knowledge but also training learners to become responsible global citizens who are ready to contribute to society and the planet.
The workshop also listened to the sharings, opinions, ideas, and experiences in education management and training of experts, scientists, and education managers, especially the opinions of experts from Vietnam National University – Hanoi, on solutions for the development of education in Ha Long in the new era of rising.
The opinions presented and discussed at the workshop also agreed on evaluating and summarising the practice, analysing deeply to clarify the achievements, drawing lessons and recommendations, and proposing important orientations, goals and solutions in the development of education in Ha Long City.
