Hoan Kiem Ward’s students shine at Youth Tech Asia Challenge 2026

With intelligence, confidence and a strong aspiration for innovation befitting a generation of global citizens, the student delegation from Trang An High-Quality Primary School, Hoan Kiem Ward, Ha Noi, delivered an outstanding performance at the final round of the Youth Tech Asia Challenge (YTAC) 2026 in Penang, Malaysia, from January 7-9, 2026.

Competing against hundreds of teams from across Asia, five teams from Trang An Primary School secured impressive achievements including one Gold Medal, two Silver Medals, two Bronze Medals, along with the prestigious Special Award – The Outstanding Tech Award, and one Third Runner-up prize.

These accomplishments are not merely impressive figures, but vivid proof of the strong technological thinking and the ability of Vietnamese primary school students to apply AI (Artificial Intelligence) to solving real-world problems.

Awarded projects included the learning-support project “Software to Improve English”, “Redlist Guardian” on environmental protection, “AI Classguard” and “AI Safety Monitoring for School Laboratories” focusing on enhancing school safety, and “AI Powered Exercise Posture Guidance” which promotes student health through intelligent AI-based solutions.

This year’s projects from Trang An students stood out for their profound humanistic values and high applicability. With confident demeanor, clear scientific reasoning, and fluent English presentations, the students received high praise from the judging panel and international education experts. These positive evaluations once again affirmed the position and potential of Vietnamese students on the regional technology map.

The success at YTAC 2026 reflects the effective attention and investment of Hoan Kiem Ward in education and training, particularly in promoting STEM education, technology application, and digital transformation in local schools. It also serves as clear evidence of the sound and persistent direction of Trang An High-Quality Primary School in developing STEM, technology, and artificial intelligence education from the primary level.

Beyond being an intellectual playground for creativity, the competition provided a valuable opportunity for students to exchange ideas, learn from peers, develop global skills, and spread the image of Vietnamese students as confident, capable, and knowledgeable young innovators to the international community.
