Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Do Minh Xuong, Director of the Army Academy, congratulated the new doctors and expressed his confidence that, with the knowledge acquired at the academy, they would apply it creatively and effectively in directing research, teaching, and training, and in maintaining combat readiness, thereby contributing to building a more elite, regular, and modern military.
The doctoral candidates from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, upon returning home, are expected to be ambassadors, who will be active in strengthening and enhancing the traditional solidarity and friendship between the army and peoples of Viet Nam and Cambodia.
The training programme was conducted under the protocol on cooperation and training between the armed forces of Viet Nam and Cambodia, following the Ministry of Education and Training’s decision recognising doctoral candidates of the K17 cohort at the Army Academy.
After a period of study and research at the academy, the four doctoral candidates from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces have successfully completed the programme with high academic results.
They researched and compiled their military doctoral dissertations with creative thinking, proposing many new theories and solutions suitable to the specific conditions of Cambodia, and successfully defended their dissertations with 100% approval from the examination board members.
On this occasion, the Army Academy also awarded graduation certificates to 403 trainees who had completed their training programmes at the academy.
