NA Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh expressed his appreciation to Andrey Vladimirovich Yatskin, First Deputy Speaker of the Russian Federation Council and Head of the Russian Federation Council's Group for Cooperation with the Vietnamese NA, for proposing the organisation of the online meeting.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh thanked Andrey Vladimirovich Yatskin for his sympathy regarding the damage caused by storms and floods in Viet Nam. He stated that the cooperation agreement between Viet Nam’s NA and the Russian Federation Council comprises ten areas of cooperation and 25 specific activities. NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man has issued documents assigning relevant agencies of the Vietnamese NA to monitor, and promote the implementation of these activities. So far, many areas of cooperation have yielded positive results.
Regarding the upcoming visit to Viet Nam by the Russian Federation Council's Group for Cooperation with the Vietnamese NA, the Vietnamese NA is ready to coordinate to ensure all favourable conditions for the delegation’s visit.
The First Deputy Speaker of the Russian Federation Council reaffirmed that inter-parliamentary cooperation has been one of the key pillars in the friendship and cooperative relationship between Viet Nam and the Russian Federation. He expressed his wish that the two sides continue promoting bilateral relations, including parliamentary cooperation, in a deeper, more substantive, and effective manner.
