“Russian Language in Vietnam: Dialogue between Cultures” Week opens

The opening ceremony of the “Russian Language in Vietnam: Dialogue between Cultures” programme took place at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Hanoi, on September 30, with many activities related to Russian culture and language.

The Russian Language Week includes educational, cultural, and methodological activities and events for linguists, as well as students and pupils studying Russian in Vietnam.

In addition, those who love Russian can also participate in a multimedia exhibition, introducing Russian textbooks, methodological books, and literature.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Murashkin Vladimir Vladimirovich, Director of the Russian Centre for Culture and Science in Hanoi, said that the Centre's annual projects within the framework of Russia's National Programme "Development of Education" have a special significance.

This programme organises an annual trip of representatives of leading Russian universities to Vietnam to promote the Russian language, culture and education.

Murashkin Vladimir Vladimirovich also said that the Russian Centre of Science and Culture initiative events are now held in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

The programme "Russian in Vietnam: Dialogue of Cultures" runs until October 8 in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
