She grabbed dual awards for her outstanding pronunciation and eloquence.
The competition was part of Russia’s efforts to promote its culture worldwide in recent years, Tam said.
Approximately 1,000 teachers of the Russian language from 60 countries across the globe attended the qualifying round of the competition.
Tam was among 15 finalists competing in the final round held in Moscow from October 21.
The annual contest was first launched in 2013 with the hope of popularising the Russian language around the world and improving the capability of foreign teachers in their teaching of the Russian language and literature.
