Participants at the event, including managers, experts and scientists, voiced their support for the development of a project on renovating and rearranging the People’s Court apparatus to improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of courts, contributing to protecting justice, human rights, state interests, and the legitimate rights and interests of organisations and individuals.
Delegates discussed many important contents regarding the organisation of courts according to their jurisdiction, several issues on renovating and rearranging the People’s Court apparatus towards streamlined operational efficiency, and the new requirements set in the process of renewing and rearranging the People’s Court apparatus in the coming time.
They also touched upon the salary mechanisms for judges and judicial titles and the enhancement of the Party’s leadership over court activities, as well as discussing a draft document on the completion of the people’s juror institutions and a project to build a draft Law on the Protection of People under 18 in special legal circumstances.
Speaking at the seminar, Politburo member and Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court Nguyen Hoa Binh asked delegates to continue studying and proposing new innovative recommendations, thus contributing to perfecting the project to renovate and rearrange the apparatus of the People’s Courts in a streamlined, effective and efficient manner.
He also urged for the handling of recent shortcomings in the organisation and operation of the People’s Court apparatus, towards building a pure, strong, democratic, strict and increasingly modern judiciary in service of the people and the country, meeting the requirements of the process of building and perfecting a socialist law-governed state as set in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
