Send-off ceremony held for the Paris Olympics 2024 sports delegation

A send-off ceremony was held in Hanoi on July 17 for the 39-member Vietnamese sports delegation heading to the Paris Olympics 2024.

The delegation, which consists of 39 members, including 16 athletes across 11 sports, with 16 coaches and experts, two doctors, and other officers.

Speaking at the send-off ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong noted that members of the Vietnam Sports Delegation participating in the Olympics bear a tremendous responsibility to the nation and sports enthusiasts nationwide.

He asked the members to compete in an honest, noble, resilient, and creative manner, surpassing themselves to achieve the highest results.

During the ceremony, Dang Ha Viet, Head of the Vietnam Sports Delegation, affirmed that the delegation will strive to compete to the fullest, with composure, confidence, and resilience, aiming to win medals and bring glory to the homeland.

The Paris Olympics 2024 will take place from July 26th to August 11th in the French capital city of Paris and nearby areas, featuring 329 events across 32 sports disciplines.
