Taking place from July 28 to August 1, this year’s festival will feature more than 11 activities, including a music gala, a cuisine fest, flash mobs on local beaches, and a paragliding festival.
Notably, the music gala entitled ‘Enjoy Da Nang Summer’ will be staged at Bien Dong (East Sea) Park on July 28, gathering many popular singers and artists.
Meanwhile, the cuisine fest will be organised during the festival with more than 50 booths, introducing typical dishes in localities across Vietnam and the world, including signature dishes in Da Nang.
On July 29, a sea festival will be held at Ha Khe Sea Park, promising to entertain visitors with various exciting beach games.
According to Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People’s Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen, in the first six months of 2023, Da Nang City welcomed around 3.5 million visitors, including roughly 930,000 foreigners, and earned 6.2 trillion VND (263 million USD) in tourism revenue, up 99% over the same period in 2022.
The annual festival aims to promote sea tourist products to visitors through fresh and impressive travel experiences, thus establishing Da Nang as a leading destination in Asia, she said.
