The five-day National Day holiday drove a surge in tourist numbers nationwide, with most provinces and cities recording growth of at least 30% compared to the same period last year. The ten localities generating revenues in the trillion-dong range included Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, Hue, Hai Phong, Lam Dong, and Ninh Binh.

With just a few days remaining until the country enters the five-day National Day holiday (running from August 29 through September 2), road, rail, and air transport operators have finalised their transport plans. They have mobilised vehicles, added carriages, and increased trip frequencies to ensure they are ready to meet the public’s travel needs.

From August 29 to September 2, Ha Noi will offer free bus and urban rail travel while simultaneously deploying a fleet of additional reserve vehicles to fully accommodate the surging commuting needs of both residents and tourists.

The entire nation is looking forward to commemorating the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) — a momentous event that transformed the nation’s destiny and opened a glorious new chapter in its history.
